  1. Q. My Crema Is Frozen or Won't Respond

    Carta/Shine

     

    - Reboot by turning your device on

    1. Plug in a USB cable for charging and check LED on.
    2. Press and hold the Power Key for 10 seconds to LED off.
    3. Press and hold the Power Key for 2 seconds to reboot.

    Sound

     

    - Reboot by turning your device on

     

    1. Plug in a USB cable for charging and check LED on.

    2. Press the hole next to power key with needle.

    3. Then device reboot.


    - Take it to a service center for inspection as follows.


    1. When a long line or partial cracks are visible on the Display.
     The back of the Display is a thin glass. It may cause damage to the glass surface by pressure or shock.
     After checking the damage to the crystal it can be replaced at a service center.
     (If it is not a crystal defect, replacement cost will be charged.)

    2. In freezing and the infinite boot symptoms by rooting.
     Problems caused by rooting.


    It is possible to solve the problem by replacing the PCBA.
    However, the routing devices are excluded from the free target.

  2. Q. Firm Ware error (How to update manually)

    - If you do not update the firmware automatically, you need to proceed with the manual update.
      The update file is provided by the online bookstores, K-epub, Innowaveglobal Co., Ltd.

    How to update is as follows.

    - Crema Touch
    1. PC with Crema, USB connection
     After connecting, Check USB storage in device.
    2. Copy the update.zip file to the internal storage or SD card (just copy the zip file).
    3. Disconnect USB connection.
    4. Power off
    5. Press simultaneously Crema device power button (top right) and the Home button (middle button of the three buttons),
     then hold until the update screen appears.
    6. Update progress


    - Crema Shine
    1. PC with Crema, USB connection
    2. Copy the update.zip file to the SD card (just copy the zip file)
     (Crema Shine manual update is available only through the SD card.)
    3. Press and hold the power button while the device is powered on.
     (Shutdown, restart, upgraded via an SD card, the cancel menu appears.)
    4. Start the upgrade to touch the upgrade icon via SD card.


    - Crema Carta
    1. PC with Crema, USB connection
    2. Copy the update.zip file to the internal storage or SD card (just copy the zip file).
    3. Press and hold the power button while the device is powered on.
     (Shutdown, restart, upgraded via an SD card, the cancel menu appears.)
    4. Start the upgrade to touch the upgrade icon via SD card.
  3. Q. When Wi-Fi connection is not working

    1. Crema is not a carrier unit. It is not compatible to carrier Wi-Fi.
     In the case of public institutions, there may be a limit to the Wi-Fi connection.

    2. If the Wi-Fi name is korean or long english, you may not be able to Wi-Fi connection.


    - You can also connect via mobile phone Hotspots.
      If there is no connection, please contact Service center.
  4. Q. Display flicker, lagging

    1. E-ink device represent the article/picture to sprinkle electronic ink on the screen.
     When you turn the page, you can see an afterimage of the previous page.
     The refresh function makes your screen clean.

    2. You can feel a break in use, because of power supply control.

    3. You can feel lagging in internet browsing.
  5. Q. When you are not login Digital Library

    - Some electronic library has processed the user ID as capital letters for the server-side environment issues.
      If you sign in Crema Carta, Errors can occur.
      If you do not login, please enter the ID in capital letters.
      If there are special characters in your password, remove the special characters.
  6. Q. SD Card

    - It is recommended to use less than 32GB / class 6.
      (Class 10 can not be recognized.)
  7. Q. Crema 6" Display panel standards

    The failure criteria for the 6" panel 

    If it does not exceed over the criteria below, it is the normal panel.

    1. White Spot : Spot 3 or more clearly recognizable in the reading area
     (Spot reference in the area for only 0.5 cm away from the bezel, for immersive reading inhibition judgment)

    2. Black Spot: Spot 6 or more than clearly recognizable spot in the reading area
     (Spot reference in the same for only 0.5 cm away from the bezel with white spots)

    3. The bottom of the shadow : Clear contrast to the more than 1cm in height to the bottom panel and bezel reference

    4. Individual check for the other panel CS does not correspond to the above cases


    Shadow area on the outskirts of 0.1 ~ 0.2 cm is normal,
    because the corner appears slightly darker due to the nature of the panel.
  8. Q. Crema 6.8" Display panel standards

    The failure criteria for the 6.8" panel 

    If it does not exceed over the criteria below, it is the normal panel.

    1. White Spot : Spot 3 or more clearly recognizable in the reading area

     It is normal status of panel which shows shadow or light leakage at the corner within 0.3cm due to panel characteristics.
